Some quick fire questions to help you understand what really makes Arbikie gin so special.
Q. What are the Ingredients?
This is our USP Potato Spirit produced from Estate grown potatoes. One of the things that makes us different at Arbikie is the fact that we produce the spirit that forms the base of our gin. Unlike most gin producers, who purchase ready-made grain neutral spirit and then flavour or redistill it with botanicals, we start the gin making process as we plant the potatoes in the fields of our Estate.
Q. What is the potato variety that you use?
The gin is produced using a blend of three different varieties, King Edward, Cultra and Maris Piper.
Q. What are the Botanicals used in the gin? What will be the style of the gin?
We plan to use special plants that capture the elements of the Arbikie Estate and the surrounding environment. The combination of classical & new botanicals forms a complex and savoury gin. Alongside Juniper, we will be infusing our gin with kelp, blaeberries & carline thistle to give it a unique and delicious flavour.
Q How do you distil the spirit?
